NAME: GABRIEL GRAY aka 'SYLAR'
ABILITY: INSIGHT/ VARIOUS
STATUS: UNKNOWN
BIO: Submitted by Agent Unlikely Hiro

Gabriel Gray was a second-generation watchmaker from Queens, New York.
He was approached by
Chandra Suresh in April of 2006. According to
Suresh's notes, after testing Gray, he decided he possessed no abilities
whatsoever. This infuriated Gray, and he stormed out of Suresh's apartment.

Several days later, Gray returned to Suresh's apartment, and demonstrated
advanced telekinesis. Gray made a glass move across a table and then
threw it across the room by accident. Gray then points to Suresh's map and
said "We can find them together we are the future."

Though the
OWI at present cannot explain the sudden appearance of Gray's
telekinesis, it is believed that this ability was "stolen" in a manner similar
to his later victims. Indeed, the OWI had discovered a possible telekinetic,
Brian Davis, who disappeared at the same time. Davis' body was found
several months later, mutilated in a manner similar to Sylar's later victims:
part of the skull was "torn" off, and the brain was missing. We can be very
certain that Davis was the source of Sylar's telekinesis, but not absolutely
so.

Gray then adopted the name Sylar, from a brand of watch he always wears.
He also began wearing a baseball cap, seemingly all the time. He began
working with Suresh to find more SG's. He was soon dubbed "Patient Zero,"
a term originally coined to refer to the originator of an epidemic.

On October 2, Sylar killed James Walker, an SG whose power is currently
classified. Mister Walker was found frozen solid while eating breakfast. His
brain was then removed presumably, it also was frozen. His wife was
pinned to a staircase with various knives, believed to have been hurled
telekineticly. Their daughter,
Molly, was missing. Molly was discovered by
telepathic police officer
Matthew Parkman. Molly is believed to be a
"beacon" or "activator" for people with abilities. Sylar later broke into the
"safe house" where Molly was being held, evidently to kill her. He was
chased by
Agent Hansen, who cornered him in a utility corridor. Sylar then
used his telekinesis to force her to put her gun to her right temple. She
would have died were it not for the actions of Officer Parkman. Parkman
shot Sylar five or six times, and he fell to the ground. Sylar then stood back
up and flew away, the bullets falling to the floor. It is not known if this was
because of a stolen healing ability, or simply a bullet-proof vest.

At the same time,
Eden McCain alerted the OWI to the location of Sylar's
apartment. She had found the apartment through her surveillance of
Mohinder Suresh. Half was kept immaculately clean, while half was hidden
behind a secret door. In the secret half Sylar kept his own Map, and a
strange room where he scribbled on the walls variations on the phrase
"Forgive me, Father, For I have sinned in one case, apparently in his own
blood. His Map had many more connections than Dr. Suresh's.

Sylar's next *known* activity was in Midland, Texas on Thursday, October
12, 2006. There, he murdered
Charlie Andrews, a waitress who possessed a
superhuman memory and learning ability. It should be assumed Sylar now
possesses this ability as well.

The next day, Sylar traveled west a few miles to Odessa. There, he tried to
track down a person who possessed tissue regeneration. He misidentified
the SG as Jacquelyn Wilcox of Union Wells High School. He attacked her in
the presence of the true SG,
Claire Bennet. After hurling Claire into a wall
and watching her heal, he realized he had attacked the wrong girl. Sadly,
this happened to late for Ms. Wilcox, who bled to death from wounds
received in the attack. Claire escaped with the help of
Peter Petrelli.

Sylar was later apprehended by OWI Agents McCain and
The Haitian. He is
currently in OWI custody.

All told, the FBI holds Sylar responsible for a total of ten murders in thirteen
states. Research has led OWI to identify a total of eleven, possibly twelve,
including:

1. Brian Davis, an SG possessing telekinesis.
2. A John Doe, an SG in Chicago.
3. Chandra Suresh.
4. James Walker, an SG in Los Angeles.
5. Mrs. James Walker.
6. Charlene Andrews, an SG in Midland, Texas possessing Eidetic memory.
7. Jacquelyn Wilcox, Odessa, Texas, mistaken for Claire Bennet

Sylar is also indirectly responsible for one death: OWI Agent Eden McCain,
an SG with the power of Persuasion. She selflessly committed suicide to
prevent Sylar from obtaining her ability.
