NIKI/ JESSICA SANDERS: SUPER STRENGTH AND POSSIBLE MULTIPLE
PERSONALITY DISORDER
Niki Sanders is a beautiful 31 year-old woman, tall, lithe and graceful, with
long blonde hair. With the exception of what has become known as the
“Super Genome Symbol”—which resembles a single strand of RNA—tattooed
on Jessica’s right shoulder, Niki’s alter-ego, Jessica, could be her mirror-
image identical twin. In fact, “Jessica” may be the spirit of Niki’s deceased
twin sister, Jessica Sanders, who was allegedly murdered by strangulation
by Niki and Jessica’s father, Hal Sanders. According to her headstone,
Jessica’s death occurred in 1987, when she was just eleven years old.
During his frequent drunken rages, Hal Sanders physically abused his
daughters. Niki has no recollections of the beatings, (she thinks Hal
abandoned her after Jessica’s death) but Jessica has forgotten none of
them. Jessica claims Niki doesn’t remember the abuse because she,
Jessica, took all the beatings for Niki. She considers Niki weak, and unable
to take care of herself, so Jessica protects Niki, even to the point of
murdering those she sees as a threat to Niki.
SGs Encountered: D.L. Sanders, Micah Sanders, Nathan Petrelli. Although it
is uncertain as to the nature of the true identity of Jessica Sanders, and how
she is able to manifest herself in Niki’s body, her existence can not be
ignored. It is also uncertain as to whether the super-strength displayed by
Jessica is her own ability, or if she “borrows” it from Niki, who is oblivious
to the ability, indicating that the super-strength belongs to Jessica, while
Niki may or may not have a separate ability.
D.L. HAWKINS: PHASING
Thirty year-old D.L. Hawkins, husband of Niki Sanders, is a petty criminal
who has spent time in prison. Very recently, D.L. escaped from prison, after
serving six months of his sentence for the theft of $2,000,000 from casino
owner and alleged crime boss, Mr. Linderman, by whom D.L. and his “crew”
were employed. He is currently a fugitive from the law—and his wife’s alter-
ego, Jessica, who sees D.L. as a threat to Niki and the son Niki shares with
D.L.
It is D.L.’s escape from prison that inspired this agency’s interest in him.
From a prison report on his escape, Hawkins simply disappeared from his
locked cell. Per the report, Hawkins was last seen in lockdown, and the cell
door lock had not been tampered with in any way. A thorough search of both
the cell and the entire prison revealed no clues as to how Hawkins managed
the escape. Shortly after his escape, Hawkins appeared at his wife’s home,
and was seen to literally walk through walls, with no damage to himself, or
the walls.
D.L. Hawkins, a tall, muscular African American, is capable of shape-
shifting allowing him to physically penetrate solid matter, leaving no sign of
his passage.

MICAH SANDERS: COMMUNICATION WITH ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Micah Sanders is the ten year-old son of Niki Sanders and D.L. Hawkins. In
the words of his mother, Micah is “so smart he’s flunking out of school.”
This is not just the boasting of a proud mother; our surveillance has
witnessed Micah building and installing replacement parts for his computer.
Although Niki and her alter-ego, Jessica, are identical in appearance, Micah
is not only aware of Jessica, but knows when she is “out.” He has shown
signs of being wary, even fearful, of Jessica, but keeps her presence secret
from his mother, as his desire to protect his mother has proven to be as
strong as, if not stronger than, that of Jessica. Certainly, Micah’s methods
of shielding Niki are non-violent and unharmful nature.
Micah possesses what may be best described as an “empathic” ability to
communicate with electronic devices and other machinery. Surveillance
tapes have revealed that Micah can repair devices simply by placing his
hand on them and what appears to be simple concentration. One could
correctly say that Micah is a human version of “R2D2” of Star Wars fame.
